Not every stop on the Long Night of Museums is a classic museum. On 10 October, from 6 pm to 1 am, a tattoo studio, a whisky cellar, a student-run arts space and a collection of more than 30,000 dachshund exhibits also open their doors. Four places for anyone looking for the unexpected.
Dachshund Museum

Under the title "Der Dackel – Eine Weltanschauung" (The Dachshund – A Worldview), the museum shows pieces from the world's largest dachshund collection, with more than 30,000 exhibits. It is officially recognised in Bavaria as a museum of cultural history. The exhibition covers the dachshund among the nobility, in hunting and with beer, Gustl Bayrhammer with Pumuckl, "Hausmeister Krause" and Waldi, the mascot of the 1972 Olympics. All of it presented with a good deal of humour.

Lima Tattoo

The creative space of the LIMA tattoo studio turns into a gallery. Mural artist, illustrator and street artist Andre Maier shows works that refuse to be pinned down: classical painting meets decorative composition, Art Nouveau meets abstract form. The result is a dialogue between painting, urban art and tattoo aesthetics. The opening comes with live painting in public space and music.
