REAR WINDOW TIME LAPSE (Jeff Desom), lasting 20 minutes (in loop)
The most famous courtyard in cinematic history will take center stage in Jeff Desom’s award-winning installation “Rear Window Time Lapse.” To create it, he has deconstructed Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “Rear Window” (1954) and reassembled it into a fascinating panorama in which everyday movements, subtle gestures, and hidden details become visible. The result is a hypnotic reflection on cinema, seeing, and observation, situated at the intersection of film, installation art, and digital media. Awarded the Golden Nica at Ars Electronica, the work will be presented during the Long Night of Regensburg Museums as a continuous 20-minute loop.
